01

Name the receiving point

Provide the complete address, contact and receiving hours. Include any booking or access process that affects the delivery. A clear receiving instruction is more useful than a business address alone.

02

Check the route

Measure doorways, lifts and other restricted access points. Compare the packaged dimensions with the route into the building. Identify handling questions early enough to review them before shipment arrangements are agreed.

03

Agree on handling scope

Clarify who will unload and what equipment is available. If movement inside the building, assembly or placement is required, include it in the discussion. Do not assume these services are part of every delivery.

04

Have the order record ready

Keep the item schedule and available shipment documentation at the receiving point. Check quantities and visible condition against the order. Report discrepancies promptly with the order reference and supporting photographs.

05

Keep components together

Retain identifying labels and associated parts while the shipment is checked. Follow the agreed process for any issue. If items will be stored before use, review the relevant handling instructions and available storage space.
